Driver Development Specialist

Operational • Act as an ambassador for Group Learning and Development for forging and maintaining positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders. • Coach and be coached by fellow colleagues and team members • Facilitate workshop and the development of action plans. • Facilitate program logistics including venue arrangements, simulators, clinical and online theory tests • As a team member, analyse training needs, design, develop and implement training courses in reaction to business needs. • Facilitate training programs to a high standard, using adult learning and learner-focused techniques • Demonstrate initiatives, a ‘can do’ attitude and a passion for learning • Create solid professional relationships with management at all levels within the business. • Design and develop training materials based on best practice of driver training methodology. Training • Deliver and facilitate training programs to all front line staff dealing with Air Side driving to a world-class standard, using adult learning and learner focused techniques. • Simulate scenarios to facilitate the learning process. • Run classroom sessions; facilitate the online tests as well as the clinical tests to all drivers • Utilize coaching techniques to improve employee performance based upon an agreed action plan • Research and recommend program improvement. About You Qualification Essential • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent • Possess a Qatar defensive driving certificate (Preferably from NSC – National Safety Council) • Possess valid Qatar driver’s license. Preferred • Formal certification as a driver trainer and/or assessor. • Airside Vehicle Operator Permit at a major airport. Experience Essential • Min. 5 years of experience in classroom training. • Min. 5 years of experience in aviation particularly ground operations. • Broad experience in driving in a restricted area. Preferred • Experience as an airline trainer. • Airside driver training experience. • Airside vehicle operation experience. • Airside radio communication experience.
