Engineer - Coastal Waterfront

My client a leader in the industry is seeking a Coastal Waterfront Engineer to be a part of a growing innovative team! In this role you will perform project engineering duties to include drafting / design regulatory applications and coordination prepare contracts engineering computations and budget estimates inspection and administration of construction for civil engineering projects

Note This position can reside in Michigan/ Indiana preferred cities Grand Haven Grand Rapids Benton Harbor Kalamazoo or South Bend IN areas

What you will do

• Focus on coastal and waterfront processes structures and erosion control
• analyze coastal processes coastal protection measures and conduct studies to assess the impact of projects
• Prepare cost estimates project schedules engineering reports and other documents
• Conduct site visits and fieldwork as needed

What you will need to have

• BS degree in Civil or Coastal Engineering or related field required
• years experience in coastal engineering
• AutoCAD Civil D and MS Office suite
• Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles reading blueprints and architectural drawings
• Accuracy in measuring and calculations (grade area and volume)
• Construction materials documents and procedures needed

Licensure preferred

• Engineering in Training (EIT)
• Professional Engineer (PE)
