Maintenance Technician

KHR has partnered with a leading manufacturer, who is looking for a Operations & Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Monday - Friday: 8am-4pm
Edenbridge, Sevenoaks
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000

Main Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all documented company quality system procedures when carrying out operational duties
- Complete or co-ordinate maintenance repairs on production and associated plant, equipment and systems
- Carry out or coordinate routine regular Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities on all site equipment in line with manufacturers' guides lines and record results
- Introduction of QCBD Maintenance system in relation to plant, equipment, jigs, fixtures, and facilities maintenance and services.
- Advise management of any improvements in plant and equipment operations or functions that would reduce downtime or the risk of breakdown and reduce costs
- To carry out / coordinate routine maintenance repairs, DIY to the facility, buildings, grounds, and assets. To undertake control of janitorial supplies and stock. Assist the factory management with any reasonable ad hoc requests.
- Mechanical/electrical equipment diagnostic skills
- Monitor and control contractors whilst working on site to ensure compliance with company health & safety policy
- Working understanding of electrical maintenance for building service and machine tools.
- Flexible and pro-active attitude and a willingness to take on new skills/Training
- Good Communication skills
- Achievement of individual objectives and team objectives - contributing to the departmental KPIs

Candidate Profile:
- This role requires an individual experienced in the maintenance of various plant equipment used on the Edenbridge site. Knowledge of building support services would be an advantage, e.g., compressed air systems, and electrical systems.
- Develops higher-level knowledge and skills required to independently resolve complex issues and perform the most sophisticated assignments. Performs tasks and supports projects under general supervision.
- Liaises with Service Engineers / Suppliers as necessary.
