German-Speaking Safari Operations Administrator
Our client, an Australian-Based boutique adventure tour operating business, sells bespoke adventure safaris to southern and east Africa for small groups or FIT s from Australia, New Zealand and German-speaking countries. They live and breathe African safaris. For over 25 years, they have explored Africa, a lifestyle that has instilled a great love for Africa in each one of us. They live for exhilarating, heart-stopping moments in the wild and sharing these extraordinary adventures with you.

Requirements
- Fluency in German and English required.
- Appropriate qualifications in travel will be an advantage, although not essential.
- Have a very good working knowledge of safari Africa having worked in travel as an operational administrator with at least 2 years of experience.
- Have a love for adventure and wildlife, having travelled to wilderness areas in safari Africa including both Southern and East Africa.
- Being extremely structured, organised, honest and with a focus on attention to detail are essential, as industry-leading service is the goal!
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Be an all-rounder, and able to work independently with initiative, reliability, and good organisational skills.
- Have an outgoing personality and great people skills.
- Having good MS Office skills is essential and WordPress experience will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for invoicing, payments of suppliers, booking confirmation forms, guest information forms and detailed final travel documents for tours.
- Handling the administration for entry restrictions, visas, authorization forms, membership rewards transfers, etc.
- Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather, reviews etc.
- Diagnose the clients specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services
- Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
- Supply travellers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material (guides, maps, event programs etc)
- Collect deposits and balances
- Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages
- Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns
- Attend conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trends
- Create and update electronic records of clients
- Maintain relationships with key people
- Keep financial statements and documents
