Application Front end Lead

What is the opportunity?

The Sr. Java Script Front end Dev Lead is responsible for the technical enablement of both functional and strategic goals for the Governance Technologies team here at RBC. This role will demonstrate advanced knowledge in supporting infrastructure and automation scopes of work within the limitations of a vendor-based tool that is hosted on premise. As a lead, you will be relied on to close critical gaps that have been identified across both Development and Production Support, and to propose new initiatives with a focus on high ROI work. There is opportunity for this role to manage a supporting cast of Technical System Analysts.

What will you do?

Java Script front end development

Integrations - Support and oversight of Architecture and Solution Design

Enriched System Documentation Advanced queries and data analytics to support all Application Development projects

Code Management - Facilitation and integration of code repositories

DevOps - Release Management & Technical Post Install Verification Automation

Thought Leadership - App Dev Ideology & Governance

Environment Stability and Monitoring (Data feeds, schedules, calculation performance, etc.)

Unit-test case automation

UX & Performance Improvement Analysis

Technology Currency Solution Lead

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

5+ years working as a DevOps Engineer with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of environment management and strategic delivery enhancements

Java Script front end development

Experience working with Developers, Architects, and Management to derive both issues and opportunities

Experience in data transformation and data movement between systems for technical integrations

Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation

Experience with JavaScript, Java, Python, XSLT, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, CI/CD, GitHub, OpenShift, Tableau, XML, VB Script, IIS, SQL Server, Powershell

Requirements elicitation techniques such as Stakeholder Analysis, Facilitated workshops, Observation, Prototyping

Nice to have

Experience in managing a technical team

Experience within GRC domains, preferably in Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance, and IT Risk.

Experience with Archer 6.x or similar GRC tools

Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
