Salary: 60,000 - 75,000

We have ambitious growth plans over the coming years and will be focussing on our digital transformation journey to aid us in our success.

This is a brand new exciting opportunity where you will have full ownership in forming the vision, mission and strategy for the squad.

You and your role.

We are seeking a Product Owner who is truly customer centric and puts the user at the centre of everything. This role is not just about managing a product backlog; it's about looking to step change the customer journey we provide customers through brilliant, innovate experiences. Product owners are a key role in our organization's digital transformation, focusing intently on optimising the customer journey owned by your collective squad. The role will leverage both quantitative and qualitative insight to help make data driven decisions, aligning to the needs of our users and driving commercial success.

Responsibilities:

User-Centric Product Ownership:

  • Craft a compelling product vision that is deeply rooted in user needs, desires, and behaviours.
  • Understand our customer needs, pain points and demands through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to derive insights and validate product hypotheses.


Backlog Management and Prioritization:

  • Own, curate, and prioritize the product backlog with an unwavering focus on user value and commercial impact.
  • Break down complex requirements into actionable user stories and tasks, collaborating with the squad to build the right thing.


Commercial Acumen:

  • Balance user needs with commercial objectives, ensuring that the product not only delights users but also drives business growth.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor products, and business metrics to inform product decisions and strategies.
  • Supports the tribe lead in weekly trading sessions with necessary commercial inputs.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Foster a collaborative environment with designers, developers, marketers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure seamless communication with offshore development teams, emphasizing clarity, alignment, and excellence in delivery.


Champion of Best Practices:

  • Advocate for and instill best practices in product management, from user research to agile methodologies.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for learning and growth, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
  • Acts as a key member of our Product Chapter , collaborating and sharing learnings across the product discipline.
  • Comfortable setting and owning OKRs for your area, prioritising the roadmap and sprint plan to support this.
  • Understanding of CRO and experimentation to validate your hypotheses and de-risk journey improvements.


Stakeholder Management and Communication:

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from executives to end-users, ensuring alignment, managing expectations, and gathering feedback.
  • A clear communicator, who can take complex problems and communicate them in a clear way, across all levels.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital product management, with a proven track record of driving user-centric products to commercial success.
  • Deep expertise in user research methodologies and tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Experience of Digital Transformation and customer journey overhauls a plus these are not BAU roles
  • Experience within an insurance company would be beneficial
