This is a remote position.

Kaplan Interpreting Services, a certified woman and minority-owned business, offers superior language services in various industries. Our expertise includes consecutive, simultaneous, and telephone interpreting, as well as document translation and localization. Over the past decade, we've built a team of skilled interpreters that provide services in over 200 languages and dialects, including sign language, from across the U.S, with a strong presence in California.

Job Summary:
In the role of Interpreter Coordinator and Dispatcher, you will coordinate and dispatch our interpreters for various types of interpretation jobs. This dynamic position involves scheduling, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. You'll handle a high volume of jobs each day in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate thrives under pressure and appreciates challenging workdays. This role isn't for those who prefer a quiet or slow pace. Responsibilities:
Interpreter Coordination: Oversee a team of interpreters, manage their schedules, and provide ongoing support.
Dispatching: Assign interpreters to appointments efficiently, considering their expertise, location, and availability.
Client Communication: Engage with clients to understand their language service needs, ensure smooth interpretation processes, and provide top-notch customer service.
Problem Solving: Address logistical issues, adjust to last-minute changes, and keep all parties informed and at ease with any revisions.
Continuous Improvement: Work with internal teams to enhance our interpreter coordination and dispatch systems by identifying and implementing process improvements.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Integrity, confidentiality, and credibility.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-interaction environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to build robust relationships with team members and clients.
Impartiality and ability to interact professionally with people from diverse socioeconomic, racial, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency in technology, computer operations, and software.
Quick learner with strong technical skills.

Required Skills:
Bachelor s Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
At least one year of customer service experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


Has great customer service skills. Ability to call clients and take down great notes and inquire assignments details to confirm PO details. Thinks outside the box but follows protocol and procedure. Learns quickly and adapts fast to a new environment. Quick at learning CRM Good writing and oral skills in English and Spanish. Great personality, compassionate and caring.
