Composite Mechanic

Physical Abilities:

• Physical strength : ability to lift, and move objects
  

• Eye hand coordination/ precision/dexterity :ability to do activities that requires the simultaneous use of his/her hands and eyes
  

Mechanical Skills :

He/she must have good mechanical skills to operate and use equipment, such as but not limited to, Band Saw, Shear Machines, Drill Press, Ovens, to do their job

Additional Technical requirement :

• Perform composites standard practices:
  

• trimming, and cutting composite materials
  

• scarfing and step sanding of composite structure
  

• prepare repair plies for wet-lay-up
  

• perform ply
  

• perform thermocouples
  

• bond and attaching composite materials
  

• mixing and working with resins and adhesives
  

• perform water break-test
  

• use and application of repair process materials
  

• perform bagging
  

• Set the repair cycles program in a hot bonding console (Heatcon OR GMI)
  

• Monitor and handle a running program in a hot bonder
  

• Examine finished product for defects
  

• Maintain equipment and tools
  

• Must have knowledge on CDCCL when
  

• Must have knowledge on EWIS when
  

• Able to use Airbus AirNav and Boeing Toolbox
  

• Able to confirm proper accomplishment of Structural
  

• Able to properly process removed, uninstalled and rejected parts
  

• Able to use precision measuring tools

• General Training : MOE & company procedures , M9, M10, Form 1 ,CDCCL,EWIS, Human Factors in maintenance, SMS, HSE
