Role Description

Within the ambit of the role, you will be driving the sourcing and product development charter for Saree You will be responsible to source right product at competitive This role requires someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get things done As a Sourcing manager you will be serving as the project manager between the Category, Design, Merchandising and Vendor The role will need managing multiple vendor bases with a project management and communication

Responsibilities will include

Work with Designer and Merchandising team to manage the timeline on all New product development

Working with Sourcing manager to manage the Annual buy budget, selection and buy strategy for the department to achieve sales and margin plan

Build strategic relationships with vendors and cross functional partners to discuss the business overall, recent trends

Negotiating payment terms and costing with Vendors

Should be able to create and work on TNAs; highlight any critical point

Should be able to block production capacity and confirm orders with the weavers

Actively work with suppliers to optimize sourcing cost and lead times

Discoverand partner with trustworthyvendors and suppliers

Monitor order execution/ fill-rate by suppliers and delivery compliance, including quality adherence

Evaluation of quality of raw materials so that right quality materials can source

Coordinate with logistic team to ensure proper shipment delivery

Core skill sets ideally include, but are also not limited to:

Strong understanding of Saree & Saree Types

Successful previous experience as a saree sourcing,

Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude

Able to do the product costing and have good knowledge of PAN India Saree craft / sourcing

Strong persuasion and negotiation skills and outstanding project management abilities

Customer Centricity

Degree in Textile or related field

The Ideal Candidate should have 8-10 years of experience and Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and ambiguous environment

Previous experience in retail; e-commerce added advantage

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skill
