Traffic Operator (Metals Concentrates)

Job description

• Managing all operational aspects for allocated transaction in close coordination with other regional senior traffic operators, including being the primary contact person for key clients.
• Processing documentation and complying with all requirements as listed under letters of credit and transport documentation and all aspects of executing commodity transactions.
• Executing and managing contracts including preparation of documentary instructions as per sales and purchase contracts and letters of credit. Forwarding the instructions to related parties, appointing surveyors, following-up cargo and services' documents and providing final approvals for the issuance.
• Coordinating operations with the local logistics companies, following up daily warehouse transfer reports, stock controls and independent inspections.
• Supervising loading and discharging of cargoes as well as arranging inspection services.
• Managing all documentary presentations and ensuring that each transaction file is complete.
• Executing and supporting the price hedging activities related to ongoing transactions, keeping hedge position under control.
• Supporting on operational matters related to trade finance processes (negotiation of Letters of Credit, Documentary collection, etc.)
• Drafting purchase and sales contracts

Job requirements

• Some years related experience in commodity trading in metals, preferably metal concentrates
• A hands on, dynamic, proactive candidate
• Excellent eye for detail, accurate and diligent
• Independent and striving to achieve results
• Excellent communication skills
• Teamplayer
• Willing to learn and develop
• English and Russian language skills
