Junior Health & Safety Officer

We are looking for a professional, hard working Junior Health and Safety Officer to join the Industrial division in  Kempton Park. 
Responsibilities

• Update and maintain health and safety procedures and the organisations safety statement incompliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop, monitor, implement and audit health and safety procedures in business.
• Carry out risk assessments and ensure risk are reduced
• Keep record of incidents and accidents and produce statistics for senior management
• keep up to date with new legislations and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Authority (HSA) legislation and any development effecting the industry.

Requirement

• Matric Preffered. Diploma in Health and Safety or similar discipline is required
• A minimum of 2 years Health and Safety experience with a main contractor is essential
• Experienced in carrying out risk assessments
• Ability to deliver training modules to all levels of the organisation to include first aid, manual handling and fire training.
• Highly motivated and meticulous in attention to professional standards
• Ability to work in team environment and can engage, motivate and work with people
• Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills
• Strong communication skills
