Senior Research Associate (70%) / Lab Manager (30%)

Tenpoint Therapeutics Ltd, a company founded in 2020 is dedicated to the creation and development of novel, innovative cell-based / regenerative therapies for the treatment of ocular diseases. Tasks

This role will be split into to parts

Senior Research Associate (70% of the time)

• Cultivation of healthy and engineered human iPS/ES cells, maintenance and differentiation to retinal pigment epithelial cells (RPE) and co-culture with primary or iPS-derived cells (e.g. endothelial, neuronal cells)
• Perform in vitro pharmacology studies, develop cell-based and functional assays to evaluate mechanisms of action and pharmacodynamics using, but not restricted to, immunohistochemistry & microscopy, RT-PCR, WES
• Characterization and functional analysis of ocular using fluorescence microscopy, image analysis, flow cytometry, FACS, MACS, fluorescence/luminance-plate reader, gene expression analysis, western blot & histology

Lab Manager (30% of the time)

• Organization, coordination and execution of lab support activities
• Responsible for the ordering and warehousing processes, Coordinating shipping and receiving of goods
• Plan facility and equipment purchase, maintenance, attend/repair, monitoring and surveillance (temperature alarms)
• Help establish and maintain BSL1 & BSL2 lab permits, facilities, its safety (biosafety officer) and hygiene
• Responsible for suppliers relations for lab goods and equipment

Requirements

• Lab Technician or Bachelor s/Master's degree, preferably in Life sciences (biology, biotechnology, genetic engineering), medical laboratory, or similar
• Experience in ophthalmology, eye diseases or neurovascular is important
• First industry experience is highly desired, preferably in a start-up environment
• Demonstrated flexibility and professional maturity to readily understand priorities, anticipate needs and proactively provide solutions promptly.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organization levels
• Flexible with exceptional multi-tasking skills and proactive behavior
• Team player, confident and positive can-do attitude.
