AIX Required Technical Skill Set JD-Unix (HP-UX)-L3 / AIX / Linux desired Experience Range 5-10 Years Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) Must-Have Strong hands-on experience of analyzing HP-UX Shell (KSH, csh, bash) scripts Ability to recommend right approach to migrate existing Shell scripts from HP-UX to Linux Expertise in automation and reduction of manual efforts through Scripting/tools Strong understanding of LVM, OS, S/W, Patch Management, Ignite server, HP Perf view and Virtualization technologies on both HP-UX & Linux Understanding of infrastructure working of Backup & storage products Capacity planning and Fine tune system for optimal performance. Configuring Unix Security baseline. Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning. Installation & Configuration of Integrity Virtual Machine Perform root cause analysis for problems and major incidents, provide workarounds to ensure business continuity and prepare RCA reports. Prepare Implementation plan, rollback plan and test plan, risk and impact analysis for critical or complex changes. Review the change plan and documentation prepared by level 2 engineers or peers. Participate in CAB meetings as needed and assist change manager in techno-operations decision process Harden operating system parameters in line with client / Dimension Data security policy, standards or best practices. Coordinating and interfacing with outside vendors, end users, other department team members, and service providers to resolve issues. Knowledge and experience on automation scripts, shell scripts and tools like Ansible, Terraform, Puppet Good-to-Have HP-UX System Administration VMWare VCP certification ITIL V4 foundation certification SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 1 Regular Operations Support at Level 3/3.5 2 Strive for looking best practices in industry, analyses existing environment and propose remediation plans.
