You have to speak to each other in Hindi or English No Malayalam or other language at all.
Patients care is your major priority in any kind of circumstances.
You have to carry out all instructions written in admission file e.g. administration of drugs to patient in time, recording their files, meeting their demand etc.
You have to report to RMO only in all cases regarding patients problem whether it is minor or major.
You are the (Nursing staff on duty) overall incharge of ward at the time of duty and have to attend to all problems in ward.
MICU should look neat and tidy in each aspect.
You have to attend to all calls from patients whether it is minor or major.
You have to report to Intensivist/ RMO or N.S about the equipment out of order or drugs required as early as possible.
You have to send all blood / urine/ other samples in time to the lab in prescribed register.
You have to chart vitals in file 6hrly or as per instructions (strictly). No excuse will be given.
You have to give all instruction regarding patients treatment in case of transfer of patient or discharge of patient.
You have to take regular rounds in the ward to each & every patient and will ask about the problem, if any.
You have to dispose off plastic waste in a separate bucket provided to you at central point.
You have to dispose off glass particles (ampoules, vials etc.) in separate bucket provided to you in each room.
You have to instruct patients regarding waste disposal at the time of admission and during their stay in the hospital from time to time.
You have to give proper instructions to other sister/ brother during change of over.
You have to check daily at the time of arrival that all materials and drugs are complete and have to report to MS in case of out of stock items.
You have to carry out treatment in emergency immediately and will not wait till relatives bring the medicine. There should not be any delay in treatment of patient.
You have to be polite and gentle to all the patient. In case of any behavioral problems, you have to report to MA.
Your behaviour should be polite and cooperative towards your colleagues and patients.
You should obey your seniors and are supposed to maintain a high level of Discipline.
You should try to be available on call in Emergency.
You are responsible for handling all the Records as Patients File, Inventory Register, Stock Register, Emergency Medicine Register and all the work instructions of the instruments & equipments.
You are responsible to segregate the waste at the point of generation and dispose it off in the separate bins provided according to the Rules.
Diet The sister or brother should know that which diet has to be given to the patient.
You are supposed to give bed to bed detailed over to next duty- staff (link removed)>You should follow the Quality Policy of the Hospital and try to put your best to attain the Objective and Targets of the Hospital.
We expect a high level of Nursing Care, daily sponging and proper instructions to all the patients.
You should be intelligent enough to raise the alarm in the emergency and inform the Doctor immediately.
Please make it sure before shifting the patient that the bed is ready. Also, simultaneously you have to fill the Shifting Note, attach one copy of it in the File and send one copy to Reception for proper Information.
Additional Responsibility for quality improvement (NABH/ NABL) to be fulfilled as & when necessary
