These CPUs power some of the worlds best-selling smartphones, tablets and gaming systems, using technology that has taken user experience and performance to another level.Job Overview:
The project aims to study the behaviour of dynamic languages, such as Python and JavaScript, on Arm CPUs, to understand micro-architectural bottlenecks and propose improvements in terms of performance and per efficiency.Responsibilities:
Characterize performance of applications and benchmarks to identify key CPU, system and software performance bottlenecks and competitive gaps.
Develop/bring-up simulation size workloads for pre-silicon performance analysis.
Engage with architects and design teams to investigate next-generation CPU microarchitecture performance features through performance analysis of dynamic languages (e.g. Python/Javascript).Required Skills and Experience:
Masters/PhD with a solid foundation in architecture and systems knowledge courses in Computer Architecture/Microarchitecture & Operating Systems
Good programming skills in C/C++/Assembly and comfortable with Linux or similar development environment
Technically inclined to analyze datasets and investigate anomalies
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsNice To Have Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of Arm architecture
Project work on analysis of industry standard/open-source benchmarks
Experience with software optimization workIn Return:
