The Procurement Transformation Leader will sell and deliver large Procurement transformation programs for our global Fortune 500 clients across industries. The leader will bring broader technical, delivery and business consulting skills to oversee a superior transformation journey for the client.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of Sourcing and Procurement concepts such as supplier identification and management, category management, spend analysis, P2P transactions and the levers to drive improvements and value.
Lead pre-sales activities as well as delivery. Demonstrate an acute grasp of the services sales process and the client decision making process, to maximize opportunity conversion.
Diagnose and tackle complex business situations in Procurement. Identify client needs that are not clearly defined, propose solutions to address them, and to sell advisory consulting work.
Own delivery responsibility across large-scale consulting engagements, from project start to solution design and activity planning, successful delivery, and knowledge capture. Help design and implement solutions that can demonstrate benefits and value delivered.
Guide the team in developing insights, identifying creative solutions, conducting data analyses and putting forth compelling recommendations.
Enhance delivery capabilities by continuous improvements, strong partnership with the client Business, IT and other entities.
Provide thought leadership, contribute to developing the company's knowledgebase by periodically writing blogs, white papers, points of view.
Qualifications:
Experience in leading major transformational initiatives for Fortune 500 companies in the area of Procurement
Strong familiarity with IT platforms Sourcing and Procurement SAP Ariba, Coupa, GEP etc.
Must have worked for a top-tier Consulting firm or should have had a clearly defined Advisory Consulting role in other companies.
Strong understanding of technology project lifecycles, success factors
Experience in one or more of the following industries: Life Sciences, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Automotive, CPG, Retail, Hi Tech, Telecom
A minimum of ten (10) years prior business consulting or equivalent industry experience
Global experience working with multi-national companies in multi-cultural environments is a plus
Direct Procurement line experience early in the career is a plus.
MBA, Masters in Engineering or equivalent experience required
Willingness to travel up to 75%
Years of experience required for position: 10 years
