Job Title: Research and Development Associate I

Description:

• Performs production activities in plant tissue culture media making and other related tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment.
• Records observations and measurements and reports in electronic media.
• Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and media-making and dispensing equipment.
• Assists with receipt and inspection of chemicals, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment. May require a bachelor's degree preferably in Chemistry or Biology and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in plant tissue culture media making.
• Has knowledge of automated liquid handling machines.
• Has knowledge of computer operations and common software such as Excel and Word.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a team leader.
