At Along, we are growing our founding team of passionate makers. We are currently looking for ambitious team players with experience in software development. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a category leader for the future of work and join a fast-growing software startup in the early stages.

You will be responsible for building our software at the intersection of the front-end and back-end. As we are a small team currently, you will have the unique chance to become heavily involved in our product development and vision to shape the Along solution from the start. You are a leader from day one!

This role is located in Berlin.

Tasks

• Setting up & structuring the design system and component library in sync with the development environment
• User story planning - from concept to execution wireframing and prototyping
• User testing
• Polishing design look & feel of the product (typography/buttons/colouring)

Requirements

• Strong interaction design skills (either on desktop or mobile platforms)
• Prototyping in code (not a must but a big plus)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Tools, Figma, React, and others
• Detail-and process-oriented
• Knowledge of the building blocks of a design tool, and their technical underpinnings (things like latency/responsiveness, mouse and touch-driven interactions, colour, typography, vector and bitmap graphics), vector and bitmap graphics)
• Open to working on different topics. We are a startup and a brought skillset is a plus
• Taking ownership is key. We rely on you to own projects
• We value your ideas and opinion. Low hierarchies and collaboration at the core

• An understanding of the web platform and knowledge of the creative tools space (including the tech-stack to run a small business digitally - Notion / Figma / Webflow)

• Eagerness to learn, a track record for being self-driven, and experience managing multiple projects at the same time
