We have a permanent management position available to lead and grow our enterprise Data Platform & Data Governance team.Within the Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization and reporting to the Senior Director of Data and Cloud Solutions, the Manager Data Platform & Governance is responsible to deliver the enterprise data strategy and to globally manage the data assets and the data integration solutions (data warehouse, data lake, cloud data platform) to enable other specialized group in our team and also the lines of business with their business intelligence, reporting and advanced analytic projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

In your role of Manager Data Platform & Governance, you will:

• Lead and grow a team responsible to govern the enterprise data assets (inventory, manage, protect, and serve) and to develop/evolve/maintain the technical backend data solutions. The team to manage includes a data governance specialist, a data solution architect, and data engineers.
  
• Establish operational support model for the data platform with a mix of internal and external staffing (outsourcing) to deliver on agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  
• Establish robust and agile process for the team to efficiently deliver data solutions meeting the business requirements
  
• Coordinate activities, set priorities, to meet project deadlines.
  
• Contract external support when needed to complement the team skills and capacity and deliver project within timelines.
  
• Support the definition of the enterprise data strategy and lead its implementation from a governance and data platform aspect.
  
• Ensure enterprise data assets and related systems are managed with leading processes and tools to deliver high business agility and enable the data-driven enterprise.
  
• Be accountable for technology selection, deployment, maintenance, and management related to ETL/ELT, data lake, data warehouse (DWH) and data management.
  
• Review the Master Data Management practices together with enterprise core systems transformation roadmap to streamline the enterprise data architecture.
  
• Work closely with Security team and the Data Privacy Officer to protect the enterprise data asset and maintain compliance to evolving regulation.
  
• Implement a culture centered around quality data, by advocating collaboration with the entire organization.
  
• Position your team as an advisor to various stakeholders across all business functions to deliver secure and performant data solutions.
  
• Setup and lead the Enterprise Data Governance Board.
  
• Identify and develop skills within your team. Promote an innovation mindset.
  

Profil

QUALIFICATIONS :

As our ideal candidate,

• You have a university degree in the field of computer science, information technology, engineering, or quantitative analysis programs.
  
• You have a minimum of 7 years experience in delivering and managing data solutions, with a deep understanding of backend technology (ETL/ELT, DWH, Data Lake).
  
• You have minimum of 2 years experience in a data management / governance role.
  
• You have experience in a role of database administrator.
  
• You have experience leading a team.
  
• You are recognized for your leadership, drive for result and autonomy.
  
• You have experience with modern data solution implementation (data lake, cloud DWH).
  
• Experience working in a SAP environment would be an asset.
  
• Experience of the Microsoft data solutions would be a key asset (SQL server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Azure Cloud Data solutions).
  
• You are driven by a desire to innovate, develop others and use data to create business value.
  
• You have strong communication skills in both French and English.
