Job Purpose:
The Commercial Associate handles owning and executing the city level commercial operations for their assigned portfolio.
What Youll Do:
Own and execute the end to end buying cycle (from PO placement to inbounding of the goods on the platform.
Works closely with different functions (Operations, Finance, App-Merchandizing) to ensure there are no hiccups in the inbounding process.
Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
Ensures target numeric and weighted availability of assigned portfolio consistently.
Remains in close coordination with counterparts in other markets to take advantage of imperfect market information.
Analyzes and tracks buying prices and delivers savings on the overall portfolio through proactive market research and multi-vendor sourcing.
Tracks and takes action to improve inventory health (slow/movers, damages, returns, seasonal products).
Maintains inventory levels within assigned thresholds and proactively takes steps to ensure we are not under/over invested in inventory.
Develops vendors as partners and ensures win-win scenarios for both parties.
Coaches and develops the team of Buyers reporting to him to enhance their personal and professional growth.
Requirements
1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a high growth distributor, brand or retailer.
Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.
Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
Bachelor s degree
Candidate needs to be present in KSA and fluent with Arabic, English language skills are an advantage
