- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/CBK regulations, and establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Coordinate, complete, and ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation.
- Maintain, implement and develop a comprehensive manual of accounting SOPs to enhance the workflow of the department and ensure high-class accounting system.
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
