Engineering Team Lead- Core Experience

We are looking for a Backend Team Lead to lead our App & Integration team which builds and maintains the shared backend infrastructure that powers Pangos products.

Our development teams work across different product domains and the App & Integration team provides the core services they all rely on. These include authentication API gateway session management SMS services and driver and vehicle systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on backend architecture security and scalability. You will lead and mentor a team of engineers drive technical excellence and work closely with other development teams to build reliable and secure solutions used across Pango.

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers fostering technical growth and career development.
• Own the architecture design and implementation of backend services for Core Experience.
• Ensure high system reliability scalability and performance in a high-volume production environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Mobile Data and Infrastructure teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance code reviews and architecture decisions.
• Align team roadmap with business goals ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Requirements:

• 6 years of backend engineering experience including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems high-scale architectures and backend frameworks.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools and Coding Agents to accelerate development .
• Excellent communication Can-Do Attitude and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of databases API design and system integrations.
• Strong attention to detail a proactive mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in fintech mobility or transactional systems is an advantage.
