KBR provides Contingency Base Operations Stabilization and Infrastructure support services under Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain UAE Oman and related task orders.
Job Summary
KBR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design development inspection and maintenance of mechanical systems equipment and components to meet operational requirements. The role will ensure designs are efficient cost-effective reliable and compliant with applicable industry codes standards and company policies. The Engineer supports project execution through all phases including design procurement fabrication installation testing and commissioning and will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance reliability and maintainability.
**This will be an onsite position with fulltime deployment to NSA Bahrain in Manama Bahrain.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support installation testing and commissioning activities.
Prepare and review engineering designs technical drawings specifications and calculations for mechanical systems such as piping HVAC rotating equipment and structural components.
Perform engineering analysis including stress thermal and fluid flow calculations to validate design integrity and performance.
Review vendor documents and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
Conduct troubleshooting root cause analysis and performance evaluation of mechanical systems to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical civil instrumentation and operations to ensure successful integration and execution of projects.
Ensure compliance with safety environmental and regulatory requirements throughout all engineering activities.
Basic Qualifications
Must be a US citizen.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Relevant experience in mechanical design engineering or project support.
Knowledge of engineering standards (e.g. ASME API ISO).
Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g. CAD simulation software).
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
