About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Commis Chef (Hot Kitchen) to join our culinary team. The role demands precision creativity and consistency in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. You will assist senior chefs in daily operations and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation cooking and presentation of dishes within the hot kitchen section.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain quality and consistency.
- Ensure all mise-en-place is prepared and organized before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen adhering to food safety and HACCP standards.
- Support the Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie in daily operations and menu execution.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage to the senior chef.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and culinary knowledge.
Qualifications :
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional training.
- 12 years of experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5-star hotel or fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of hot kitchen operations and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Positive attitude team player and passion for culinary excellence.
- Good communication and organizational skills
