Role Overview

As an AI Specialist youll be the hands-on engine powering our AI experiments and automations. Youll dive deep into the latest large language models build and fine-tune agents and craft workflows that solve real business problems. If you live and breathe prompt engineering spend your weekends tinkering with new AI tools and cant wait to prototype just one more idea this is your playground.

Curious No coding required. You dont need a programming background to excel in this role if youre passionate about AI and creative problem-solving; well teach you the rest.

What Youll Do

• Design iterate and optimize prompts for LLMs (ChatGPT Claude Gemini etc.)
• Build custom AI agents that automate tasks surfacing data and insights in real time.

• Rapidly prototype ideas: from automated email assistants to intelligent analytics dashboards.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to scope test and demo each POC.

• Collect clean and structure data to steer API-based LLMs or fine-tune open-source models.
• Monitor performance and iterate on training pipelines.

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify pain points and translate them into AI solutions.
• Document your workflows and share best practices across the squad.

• Stay up to date on emerging AI tools and techniques.
• Lead internal lunch & learn sessions to spread AI fluency across Calo.

What You Bring

• AI Obsession: Youve spent 10 hours a day experimenting with ChatGPT Claude Gemini or any other new model you can get your hands on.
• Prompt Engineering Skills: You know how to coax the best answers out of black-box models and can teach others to do the same.
• Rapid Prototyping Mindset: You love hacking together MVPs and learning from every iteration.
• Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in cross-functional teams and can communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical partners.
• Growth Attitude: You embrace ambiguity100 problems at once Youre excited by the challenge of choosing the top 3 thatll move the needle.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Python and working with APIs (OpenAI Anthropic Google).
• Experience fine-tuning or training open-source LLMs (e.g. using Hugging Face).
• Background in automation frameworks (e.g. Zapier n8n Airflow).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure) for production deployments.

1. WhatsApp Personal Chef Bot
   Build a flow where users message their personal chef and the backend routes instructions to a chefs dashboard with meal prep details.
   
2. Smart Delivery ETA Checker
   Create an agent that tracks driver locations and dynamically calculates ETAs based on remaining stops.
   
3. Automated Content Creator
   Search through customer support chats to find fun stories then turn them into content piecesinitially as blog posts and later as short-form videos that can be auto-posted to social media.
   
4. Your Own AI-Driven Idea
   Pitch and prototype any AI automation or agent that could add value to a subscription business like Calo.
