We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Public Area Supervisor to join our team in the beautiful coastal city of Umluj Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our housekeeping department you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness maintenance and overall presentation of all public areas within our hotel creating a welcoming environment for our guests.
- Oversee and coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of all public areas including lobbies corridors elevators and recreational facilities
- Conduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and hotel policies
- Train and mentor public area attendants providing guidance on proper cleaning techniques and guest interaction
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment ensuring adequate stock levels at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues or special cleaning requirements
- Participate in daily briefings and department meetings to stay informed of hotel events and guest needs
- Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and concerns related to public areas
- Implement and maintain health and safety protocols in all public spaces
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules inspections and incident reports
- Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures for public area maintenance
- Support the Executive Housekeeper in achieving departmental goals and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Qualifications :
- Diploma or certification in hotel management or a related field
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a supervisory capacity within a luxury hotel or resort housekeeping environment
- Strong organizational supervisory and communication skills
- Meticulous eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Experience with Hotel Property Management Systems (e.g. Opera) is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick accurate decisions
- Physical stamina to perform regular inspections and occasional hands-on tasks
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning products techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with local health and safety regulations
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Strong customer service orientation with a professional and courteous demeanor
- Fluency in English (verbal & written) is essential; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is advantageous
- Knowledge of local customs and cultural sensitivities in Saudi Arabia
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Proven track record of training and coaching team members effectively
