An Application Laboratory Technician & eScential Coordinator with the global leader in the creation of Flavors & Fragrances providing critical support for our Creative Fragrances Sales team and based in Algiers Your future position

As a Creative Fragrances Application Lab Technician you will manage the lab activities and prepare fragrance applications in different bases meeting the needs of Creative and Development teams. As an eScential coordinator within the Sales Team you will manage the data oil stock and illustration for the fragrance gallery/library.

You will be based in our Algiers office and will report into the Technical Head for SAMEA and Country manager Algeria. This is an open contract role with us for 1 year to start with working 5 days a week. Your monthly payroll will be processed by a 3rd party partner.

In this role you will

Bring your passion:

• Applying fragrances to consumer products
• Administration of lab materials and laboratory management
• Perform colour matching and recommend dyes as per client request
• Manage the data oil stock and illustrations for the fragrance gallery/library
• Maintain the quality of internal fragrance database tools according to business needs
• Provide support to the Gallery team in managing the addition of new fragrances to the internal fragrance selection tool.

Utilise the very best of you:

• Ability to follow SOPs and to prepare applications with quality speed and accuracy
• Demonstrate a basic ability in formulation development and preparation of internal bases
• Ability to manage the oil and illustration for the fragrance gallery / library.

Drive efficiencies and excellence:

• Ensure and maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment and lab equipment in accordance with EH&S guidelines and good laboratory practices
• Administration of sample requests and ordering of fragrance oils
• Record and communicate results accurately and promptly
• Management of fragrance oils customer base and internal base inventories
• Manage the fragrance database by adding all the necessary data and inputs from the fragrance development teams
• Coordinate and support the set up of exhibitions of the fragrance library collections.

Your professional profile includes

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry Pharmacy or a relevant discipline
• 1 3 years relevant experience in a Fragrance Application lab or a related environment
• Have an affinity and interest for fragrances
• Strong oral and written proficiency in the English language
• Basic understanding of lab documentation protocol a basic knowledge of handling lab equipments and handling chemicals used to perform lab functions
