Position Summary:

John Crane Business Solutions is the John Crane Centre of Excellence for Maintenance and Reliability Consultancy and Condition Monitoring.

As part of a dynamic team the Lead Reliability Engineer will be familiar with and responsible for the population of maintenance management systems.  The candidate will be a team player and accustomed to working to deadlines and budgets.  They will have experience in the Energy sector and be conversant with quality management systems and their controls.

The candidate will have a practical knowledge of CMMS ERP OR EAM solutions from a management user or implementation perspective.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for service delivery levels performance and efficiency of service projects or programs.  These will include one or more of the following service lines:
    • Seal reliability programs
    • reliability & maintenance engineering;
    • condition monitoring;
    • lubrication management;
    • inventory management;
    • data management;
    • energy transition & integrity;
    • technical trainings.
  • Lead project team and/or direct report in the delivery of work
  • Manage the performance of personnel
  • Ensure that all aspects of scope of services are completed within the projects timeline budget and to a technical standard that is compliant with JCs Smiths and customers QHSE processes procedures and standards.
  • Support PMO Manager to ensure that all staff are fully utilized in line with Business Solutions targets (productivity and profitability)
  • Produce operational reports for discussion at monthly leadership meetings and stakeholders.
  • Participate in periodical Customer Performance Reviews providing appropriate functional support. 
  • Drive continuous improvement focusing on service digitization technology and customercentric service innovation.
  • Provide client feedback to Sales & Service team and to the Reliability Engineering Office related to new customer needs and innovation opportunities for each of the service lines.
  • Conduct management of change as needed.
  • Drive a culture of safety and participate in local leadership safety responsibilities as appropriate.

 


Qualifications :

Technical Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • 8 years experience in relevant technical field. Including experience in in the fields of Reliability or Maintenance for process industries.
  • Recognized engineering qualification
  • Project Management.

Desirable skills (any one of the following):

  • Maintenance strategy analysis and development (Failure Modes and Effects analysis RCM criticality etc..
  • Development of planned maintenance program.
  • Vibration Analysis expertise 2 years experience or more / Cat2 or above
  • Accreditation in Reliability Engineering such as CMRP or ARPE
  • Inventory management experience
