Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and contractual management of a major mixeduse development. The ideal candidate will oversee cost control contract administration procurement strategies and claims management ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with project objectives. This role requires deep expertise in commercial management within a PMC environment with a strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and regional regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial management strategies aligned with project goals.
- Contract Management: Oversee contract administration ensuring adherence to FIDIC conditions and local regulations.
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor project costs conduct value engineering and implement costsaving initiatives.
- Risk & Claims Management: Identify commercial risks manage claims and disputes and provide strategic solutions.
- Procurement Oversight: Lead procurement strategies tendering processes and negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with project teams legal advisors and external consultants to ensure smooth commercial operations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed commercial reports cost forecasts and financial statements for senior management.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with contractual financial and regulatory requirements.
- Change Management: Manage variations scope changes and cost implications effectively.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the commercial team to maintain highperformance standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in commercial management with at least 10 years in a PMC environment handling largescale projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cost management contract administration claims management and procurement.
- Standards & Contracts: Expertise in FIDIC contracts Saudi procurement laws and international best practices.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with cost control and contract management tools (e.g. CCS CostX Primavera P6 or equivalent).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead commercial teams and manage highvalue contracts.
- Communication Skills: Strong negotiation reporting and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- RICS MRICS or CIOB certification.
- Experience in mega infrastructure or mixeduse development projects.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian commercial regulations and contract law.
- Strong background in dispute resolution and claims arbitration.
