Headquartered in Charlotte North Carolina Hayward designs manufactures and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps filters heating cleaners salt chlorinators automation lighting safety flow control and energy solutions at our company-owned facilities in North Carolina Tennessee Arizona Rhode Island Spain and China. We have distribution facilities in France Canada and Arizona.
For over 80-years Hayward has been enhancing pool ownership by manufacturing cutting-edge advanced pool and spa equipment. The goal is to become the preferred brand of choice with every residential and commercial swimming pool and spa.
The Zone Sales Manager is responsible to lead a local sales team and actively call on named accounts in their geographic zone. Their duties include managing and developing the remote sales team throughout the zone who call on distributors dealers builders OEMs and prospective customers to obtain new business and expand existing business. The ideal candidate would be located in Tampa or Orlando Florida with access to a major metropolitan airport.
- Manages remote sales team District Sales Managers (DSM) and Technical Sales Managers throughout the zone who call on distributors dealers builders OEMs and prospective customers to obtain new business and expand existing business
- Also personally conduct sales activities in a specific territory within the zone.
- Analyzes sales statistics using SalesForce to assist dealers/distributors in promoting sales.
- Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales team.
- Provide leadership through effective communication of vision active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
- Ensure effective hiring orientation training development and retention of sales staff.
- Provide supervision through field visits observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.
- Responsible for training sales staff within the zone about both sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Represents company at trade shows and trade association meetings to promote product categorieslead introductions to product managers and marketing teams. Coordinates liaison between customer service department technical service engineering and other departments as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive list and profile of key accounts and contacts (direct and indirect) in a computerized database such as SalesForce.
- Prepares monthly progress reports monthly itinerary and weekly expense reports on time and submits to Director of Sales.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales
- B.A. /B.S. in Business preferred with seven years of related experience.

- Strong communication skills with an ability to outline and reinforce the N. America Regional vision/strategy
- Strategic and pro-active mindset with interpersonal skills and an ability to influence at the most senior stakeholder levels

- Commercially astute with a strong business sense and excellent problem solving / analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint/Excel/Word and SalesForce
