- $1.75 weekend shift differential.

What Youll Do in the Youth Support Specialist position:
- Multiple openings for 5-8 p.m. and 8-11 p.m. weekdays and all times on the weekend starting with three hour shifts.
- Must complete 30 hours of paid training. Training schedule is a blended learning model with classroom virtual and online sessions.
Job Duties:
- Build and maintain positive rapport with youth
- Respond quickly and effectively to highly stressful situations
- Stress management and conflict resolution skills a plus (training provided)
- Accompany youth to cafeteria during mealtimes
- Engage in outside activities such as sporting games walks etc.
- Encourage and promote workout time
- Participate in inside sports and games in the main gym
- Engage youth in arts and crafts
- Support youth in their daily chores such as laundry and cleaning
- Encourage youth to follow unit rules and structure
- Provide problem solving tutoring to clients to help them cope with their struggles
- Teach and encourage communication and use of coping skills
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid drivers license recommended
