What is an Enhanced Acuity Technician
The Enhanced Acuity Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties such as natural environment training skills-based treatment data collection and intensive intervention services. The Enhanced Acuity Technician is responsible for providing direct support to individuals who reside at Damar Services. They also assist the treatment team including the Manager Supervisor and Director and other members as designated in the evaluation of clinical services.

Some duties include client supervision and care crisis management promoting appropriate social behaviors and supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential.

For this particular role you would work on our Richmond campus located at 2000 Wernle Rd Richmond IN 47374
What are the hours
- Day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM w/ weekend rotation)
- Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM w/ weekend rotation)

Demonstrates confidence when making decisions in the moment regarding Skills Based Treatment
Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner
Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned
Attends meetings conferences and workshops as recommended by the Enhanced Acuity leadership team
Provides direct services to children
Provides support to clients in completing programming goals ADLs and independent living goals
Operates Damar vehicles and/or personal vehicles to transport clients or perform other work-related duties
Completes incident reports including reporting any suspected exploitation abuse or neglect of a client
Serves as a member of Damar Services interdisciplinary team
What you need to be considered:
- Be at least 21 to work in our Childrens Residential program
- Be able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED
- Valid Indiana drivers license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damars insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
- Be clear of any felony convictions substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damars background screening
Essential Job Functions
The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop bend kneel crouch reach and twist; lift carry push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation; and communicate effectively to exchange information.
The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors staff instructions safety concerns and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive self-injurious sexually maladaptive elopement or other unpredictable behaviors.
Regular and acceptable attendance excluding approved absences and periods of leave is also an essential function of the position.
