Who We Want
Miller Industries is seekingYear-Round Modular Construction Workersto work on our 2nd Shift at our Burton Michigan location. The hours are 5 p.m. to 3:30 am. Monday Friday with overtime as required on weekends as needed for production.This is an excellent opportunity to work at same indoor location year-round.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assemble walls floors ceilings and roofs using materials such as: wood steel metal plastics drywall and composites of multiple materials.
- Measure and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from Supervisor.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools machines or power saws.
- Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
- Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as tape measures levels framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
- Fit and install windows and doors.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

What Requirements Are Needed
- 1 years of experience in a skilled trade (roofing framing siding carpentry or general construction labor).
- Strong trade fundamentals including a solid grasp of construction methods tool safety and material handling.
- Ability to confidently read tape measures and handle basic construction math
- Willingness to learn how to read blueprints or layout directions.
- Comfortable working at heights including on ladders lifts and rooftops.
- Physically fit for long shifts of walking standing and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the day.
Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties. Required to frequently lift and move 10-50 pounds. Expected to stand sit walk climb balance stoop kneel crouch crawl bend and operate objects tools and controls.
