Job Summary
Sherman Lumber is a commercial lumberyard serving internal and external building contractors. Our Yard staff and Drivers are critical in receiving handling and preparing materials for building construction. This role is important to keep our day to day operations on track.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Safely operate and maintain Company property and equipment
- Accurately pull stage and prepare orders
- Stock and maintain hardware materials
- Communicate with team and leadership
Yard Staff have a high regard for safety service and accuracy. Successful candidates enjoy the physical demands of the position including repeated heavy lifting are highly self-motivated detailed and take initiative to get the job done right in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks at once.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen physical and background check
- Ability to pass our skills assessment measuring attention to detail basic skills and ability to multi-task
- Forklift driving experience preferred willing to train the right individual
- Drivers License
PREFFERED:
- Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain and maintain a CDL
- No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 5 years for insurance purposes
