Yard Mule Driver

We are seeking a safety-focused and dependable Yard Mule Driver to join our operations this role you will be responsible for moving trailers throughout the yard positioning equipment at dock doors and supporting the efficient flow of inbound and outbound shipments. This position is critical to maintaining smooth warehouse and transportation operations.

• Operate a yard mule terminal tractor or yard truck to move trailers between staging areas and dock doors.
• Accurately spot trailers in designated locations for loading and unloading activities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard equipment and trailers to ensure safe operation.
• Track trailer locations and movements using handheld devices and/or a Yard Management System (YMS).
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers warehouse personnel and security teams regarding trailer status and yard activities.
• Maintain organized trailer staging areas and ensure efficient yard flow.
• Follow all company policies OSHA regulations DOT requirements and safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues trailer damage or safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with general yard organization and cleanliness as needed.

• Previous experience operating a yard mule terminal tractor yard jockey truck or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to safely maneuver and back trailers into tight dock doors and congested yard environments.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and equipment operation standards.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand walk climb and work on your feet throughout the shift.
• Basic understanding of yard operations trailer configurations and shipping documentation.
• Experience using handheld devices scanners or yard management systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
