Job Summary

Wage: $22/hr-$26hr

OVERVIEW:

This position supports daily yard shipping and receiving operations by safely handling heavy construction equipment Aggregate equipment and attachments. Responsibilities include equipment inspections documentation inventory tracking forklift operation and maintaining an organized efficient yard. The role also assists with loading/unloading trucks moving equipment in and out of shops snow removal and occasional deliveries to customer job sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurate and timely completion of equipment shipping and receiving records (EMMs).
  • Take in/out pictures of equipment/attachments and submit them to appropriate
  • Must verify the S/Ns of equipment and attachments and ensure information is documented
  • Complete damage inspections of all equipment entering the
  • Operate load and unload heavy construction equipment and attachments in a safe
  • Organize equipment for yard
  • Maintain a clean and organized
  • Complete all paperwork required for jobs and submit to the appropriate people in a timely
  • Perform other additional duties as directed by management.
  • Perform quarterly inventory reports for sales department items.
  • Move aggregate equipment in and out of shops with semi-truck as needed.
  • Run various size forklifts (5000 lb to 30000 lb) daily.
  • Load and unload shuttle trucks daily.
  • Occasionally deliver sales items to customer job sites.
  • Obtain and maintain DOT health card (under other requirements).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience with the operation of heavy equipment is preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge is preferred.
  • Requires basic computer
  • Obtains or is willing to obtain a CDL license; but is not required.
  • Works in an efficient and effective

  • Must have excellent customer service skills both internal and external
  • Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks with focus on
  • Must be personable highly motivated a problem solver reliable ethical.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:

  • Occasionally lifting carrying pushing or pulling 100 pounds and/or frequently lifting carrying pushing or pulling 50 pounds and/or continuous lifting carrying pushing or pulling 20 pounds.
  • Occasional to frequent walking or standing.
  • Frequent and continual movement as follows often several of movements simultaneously (i.e. handle while crouching carry while kneeling):
    • Kneel (bend legs at knee come to rest on knees)
    • Crouch/Squat (bend body down and forward bending legs and spine)

    • Pull (drag or tug objects)
    • Turn/twist (move a body part in circular motion)
    • Bend (bend downward and forward by bending the spine at waist)
    • Reach (extend hands and arms in any direction)
    • Handle (seize hold turn with hands)
  • Repetitive motion of wrists hands and fingers.
  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment.
  • Consistently exposed to weather conditions fumes and loud noise.
