POSITION: YAC Advisor

LOCATION: Portland High School

• Strong interest in working with and mentoring high school students.
• Ability to encourage student leadership involvement and positive decision-making.
• Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively plan coordinate and supervise student activities meetings and events.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students staff administration and community partners.
• Previous experience working with student organizations leadership groups or youth programs preferred.
• Must have fingerprints scanned electronically and submitted to the Michigan State Police prior to hire.

• Previous experience advising or leading student organizations.
• Experience working with high school students in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

The YAC Advisor will be responsible for providing guidance support and supervision to students participating in YAC. The advisor will work closely with students to promote leadership development student involvement community engagement and service opportunities.

The selected candidate will assist students with planning and facilitating meetings activities service projects and other YAC-sponsored events. The advisor will help students develop leadership and organizational skills
