Compensation
Traveler Pay: $54$57/hr ($2160$2280 Weekly) (Based on Experience) Local Pay: $40$43/hr ($1600$1720 Weekly) (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join a busy Orthopedic Clinic within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures ensuring high-quality imaging maintaining patient safety and supporting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and general medical conditions.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Prepare and position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
Conduct imaging procedures including extremities abdomen/GI spine pelvis chest and thorax studies.
Assist with fluoroscopic and surgical procedures utilizing C-Arm technology.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
Review images for quality accuracy and completeness before submission for interpretation.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and healthcare staff to provide efficient patient care.
Operate and maintain radiologic equipment according to manufacturer and facility guidelines.
Support imaging needs in orthopedic emergency trauma and surgical environments as required.
Provide compassionate patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
Licensure & Certifications
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.
Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Experience
Minimum one (1) year of X-Ray Technologist experience required.
Experience in orthopedic imaging preferred.
Level I Trauma experience required.
Experience in Emergency Room (ER) and Operating Room (OR) settings preferred.
Experience utilizing C-Arm equipment during surgical procedures required.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in:
Extremity imaging
Abdomen/GI studies
Spine and pelvis imaging
Chest and thorax imaging
Surgical imaging and C-Arm procedures
Strong understanding of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
