Job Summary

The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic examinations to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients in an acute care hospital setting. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images maintaining patient safety operating imaging equipment and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure efficient patient care.

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Active ARRT Certification required.

  • Active Oregon Radiologic License required (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Current BLS Certification.

  • Minimum 1 year of recent X-Ray experience preferred.

  • Acute care hospital experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of radiation safety standards and imaging protocols.

  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders.

  • Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images.

  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines.

  • Verify patient information and maintain accurate records.

  • Collaborate with radiologists physicians nurses and support staff.

  • Monitor patients during procedures and provide excellent patient care.

  • Maintain imaging equipment and report operational concerns.

  • Ensure proper image transfer and documentation.

  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.

  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as assigned.
