Pay Range: $24.26 $36.29 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $5000

Job Overview

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) to join a collaborative imaging team in Brunswick Georgia. This position is ideal for a technologist who is passionate about patient care produces high-quality diagnostic images and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures ensure patient safety maintain imaging quality standards and work closely with physicians and clinical staff to support timely and accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established department protocols.
  • Position patients appropriately and operate imaging equipment safely to obtain high-quality images.
  • Explain procedures to patients and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
  • Verify patient identity review imaging orders and obtain relevant medical history.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards infection prevention protocols and HIPAA regulations.
  • Accurately document procedures patient information and required billing charges.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to department leadership.
  • Maintain competency and complete required continuing education and department training requirements.
  • Assist with patient transport and departmental workflow as needed.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience

  • One to two years of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

  • ARRT Certification in Radiography (ARRT-R) required within 12 months of hire.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong radiographic imaging and patient positioning skills.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles and imaging best practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical terminology.
