Compensation:
Traveler Pay: $70$74/hr ($2625$2775/week) based on experience
Local Pay: $55$60/hr ($2062$2250/week) based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures ensuring patient safety maintaining imaging quality standards and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams to support accurate patient diagnosis and care.
Responsibilities:
Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images
Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
Explain imaging procedures to patients and address questions or concerns
Adjust imaging equipment controls and exposure factors for optimal image quality
Practice radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
Follow infection prevention and safety protocols in accordance with departmental standards
Review radiographic images for quality and accuracy and make necessary adjustments
Document patient care services imaging procedures and completed exams accurately
Maintain radiology equipment through routine checks and preventive maintenance procedures
Monitor radiology supply inventory and communicate supply needs appropriately
Participate in continuing education and maintain regulatory and professional competency requirements
Collaborate effectively with physicians radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain a clean safe and organized imaging environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
Licensure & Certifications:
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.) required
ARRT Certification required
Current AHA BLS Certification required
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience required
Strong competency in performing diagnostic radiologic procedures required
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
