Job Title: Workers Compensation Legal Assistant

Location: On-site Lawrenceville NJ

Compensation:$33-$37/hour

Employment Type: Full-time Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Workers Compensation Legal Assistant to support attorneys with the review and management of medical records related to workers compensation claims. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional looking to leverage their medical knowledge in a legal setting. Prior legal experience is not required and training will be provided.

Schedule

Monday through Friday standard business hours.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize medical records treatment notes and physician reports
• Identify injuries diagnoses and treatment timelines within workers compensation cases
• Request and follow up on medical records from healthcare providers
• Organize and maintain case files and medical documentation
• Assist attorneys with case preparation and medical case analysis
• Prepare medical summaries and supporting documentation for hearings
• Support case coordination and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• Healthcare background preferred (RN LPN Medical Assistant Physical Therapy Aide or similar)
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and treatment processes
• Experience reviewing or working with medical records
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
