Workers Compensation Attorney
Job Summary
Our growing law firm is seeking a Workers Compensation Defense Attorney with 13 years of experience to join our Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to grow their career in a supportive team-oriented environment while gaining hands-on litigation experience.
This position is primarily in-office with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after onboarding and training.
- Manage a caseload of California workers compensation defense matters.
- Represent employers insurance carriers and third-party administrators throughout the litigation process.
- Attend hearings depositions mediations and settlement conferences before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
- Prepare pleadings motions legal correspondence and other case-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and work closely with clients to provide case updates and legal guidance.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license and in good standing.
- 13 years of California workers compensation defense experience required.
- Strong legal writing analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
