Location

Kingston NY Hybrid . We value in-person collaboration and ideally seek experienced attorneys who can visit our office a couple of times per month. Attorneys new to workers compensation should expect to work on-site during their first year.

Note:

Active New York State Bar admission is required. We ideally seek attorneys with 1 years of workers compensation experience but we also welcome experienced litigators solo practitioners in-house counsel and motivated recently admitted attorneys interested in this practice area.

Job Description

• Represent clients in New York workers compensation claims from initial proceedings through resolution.
• Handle workers compensation hearings depositions litigation and related legal proceedings.
• Develop case strategies evaluate claims and advocate for favorable client outcomes.
• Communicate directly with clients providing clear guidance throughout the legal process.
• Prepare legal documents review medical evidence and manage case-related deadlines.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver efficient high-quality representation.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in New York State.
• 1 years of workers compensation experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with hearings depositions litigation or administrative proceedings is a plus.
• Strong legal writing communication and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.
• Attorneys from private practice in-house counsel and solo practice backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Requirements: NY bar license 1 yrs of workers compensation legal exp.

• Required Years as Associate: 0; preferred 1 years directly relevant WC experience.
• If remote: NY Bar required. Remote eligibility depends on experience; Kingston office presence twice monthly preferred. Out-of-state residency eligibility not confirmed.
• Salary Bands (Only if attorney role):
• 0 to 1 years: $85K to $99K;
• 2 to 4 years: $100K to $135K;
• 5 to 8 years: $135K to $175K;
• 9 to 15 years: $175K to $200K; 16 years: $200K to $225K. Assistant estimates not client-approved bands.
