Workday Project Leader WPL # WIR

Location: Milwaukee WI

The Workday Project Leader is responsible for planning directing and managing Workday implementation enhancement optimization and support initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders functional teams technical resources vendors and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery of Workday solutions that align with organizational goals timelines budgets and governance standards.

• Lead Workday implementation upgrade enhancement and optimization projects from initiation through deployment and post-production support.
• Develop and manage project plans schedules budgets resource allocations and project governance frameworks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Workday developers integration specialists analysts HR Payroll Finance and business stakeholders.
• Define project scope objectives deliverables and success criteria.
• Manage project risks issues dependencies and change requests.
• Facilitate project meetings stakeholder communications and executive status reporting.
• Oversee testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production readiness reviews.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards security requirements and Workday implementation methodologies.
• Support organizational change management training and user adoption activities.
• Monitor project performance and ensure successful delivery of quality solutions within established timelines and budgets.

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business Administration Human Resources or related field
• 7 years of enterprise project management experience
• 3 years leading Workday implementations or major enhancements
• PMP Agile or equivalent project management certification preferred
• Experience supporting public sector higher education healthcare or large enterprise environments
