Job Description:

Position Summary

The Workday Financials Consultant supports the implementation configuration and optimization of Workday Financial Management modules. The role works closely with finance accounting and IT teams to ensure accurate financial processes reporting integrations and system enhancements aligned with university requirements and compliance standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Configure and support Workday Financials modules (General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Procurement Expenses etc.).
• Gather and analyze business requirements from finance stakeholders.
• Design and implement system configurations business processes and financial workflows.
• Support system testing upgrades and production releases.
• Troubleshoot financial system issues and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop financial reports dashboards and data extracts.
• Support integrations between Workday and external systems.
• Ensure compliance with university financial policies and audit requirements.
• Provide end-user support documentation and training.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Financials configuration and support
• Knowledge of core financial processes (GL AP AR budgeting procurement)
• Experience with business process design and configuration in Workday
• Reporting tools (Workday Reports Prism or similar BI tools)
• Data analysis reconciliation and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with system testing and deployment support
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of finance and accounting principles

Education

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Information Systems Business Administration or related field.

Preferred Certifications

• Workday Financial Management Certification
• Workday Integration Certification (preferred)
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent finance certification (optional advantage)
• ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred)

Preferred Experience

• 3 7 years of experience in Workday Financials implementations or support
• Experience in Higher Education public sector or large enterprise environments
• Experience in ERP financial system upgrades reporting and integrations
