JOB TITLE:

Library Aide - Collection Management University Libraries

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:

The UW Libraries Collection Management department is responsible for purchasing cataloging processing and ensuring both physical and electronic library material are accessible to users. This work study position is located in Coe.

Job location: Coe Library

Pay rate or range: Beginning pay rate is $12.00/hr. Pay increases to $12.35/hr. after successful completion of first semester of work.

JOB PURPOSE:

Repairs and maintenance of books and other library materials. Schedule around classes and other obligations the schedule will be flexible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare a variety of materials for the circulating collection.
  • Perform basic repair of damaged materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:High school diploma/GED
Experience:N/A
Other requirements:Must be eligible have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to focus.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous library experience
