Job Description

Multiple Vacancies Available Across Campus

Residential Student Technicians (RSTs) support the daily operations of the Office of Housing & Residence Life by providing customer service administrative assistance operational support and engagement initiatives that contribute to a safe welcoming and student-centered residential community. Assignments vary based on departmental needs and may include front desk operations office support residential life/education facilities support summer conferences or special events special projects and other departmental initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents guests faculty staff and visitors.
  • Assist with front desk operations office coverage and administrative tasks.
  • Answer phones emails and general housing inquiries.
  • Support residence hall opening closing move-in and move-out processes.
  • Assist with educational social and departmental events.
  • Report maintenance safety or operational concerns to professional staff.
  • Provide logistical and set-up/tear down support for event spaces
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA and university policies.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Prairie View A&M University student.

  • Eligible for Federal Work-Study.

  • Good academic (minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA) and disciplinary standing

  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Experience with Microsoft Office or similar software.
