Wood Shop Assembler

What Youll Do

As a Wood Shop Assembler youll help manufacture high-quality elevator components while working with a variety of woodworking equipment and production tools. Responsibilities include:

• Assemble wood components for elevator products according to specifications and drawings.
• Operate woodworking machinery including table saws routers CNC routers and hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints work orders and assembly instructions.
• Perform accurate measuring cutting drilling fitting and assembly of materials.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
• Complete production paperwork and documentation accurately.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a wood shop cabinetry or elevator manufacturing environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and assembly experience.
• Experience operating woodworking equipment such as:
  • Table saws
  • Routers
  • CNC routers
  • Hand and power tools
• Ability to read measurements and use common shop tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Dependable work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to accept coaching follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

This position requires employees to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend stoop reach and lift materials.
• Use hands for fine motor tasks and operate hand and power tools.
• Lift up to 100 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Have sufficient vision hearing depth perception and color recognition to safely perform job duties.
