Qualifications:


Passion for working with children and supporting their academic social and emotional growth.
Ability to work effectively with students across multiple grade levels (K8).
Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Reliable dependable and flexible in a dynamic learning environment.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student and school information.
Associate degree 60 college credits or successful completion of the ETS ParaPro Assessment preferred or required in accordance with state and district guidelines.
Able to pass a background check

Position Summary:
The K8 Paraprofessional supports the classroom teacher in creating a positive and productive
learning environment for all students. This position assists with instructional activities small-
group and individual student support supervision duties and classroom organization within a
multi-age one-room schoolhouse setting.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a multi-age learning environment and supporting
students across a wide range of grade levels abilities and learning needs. Flexibility
collaboration and a student-centered mindset are essential as the paraprofessional will work
closely with the classroom teacher to support academic social and behavioral growth for all
learners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Support the classroom teacher in delivering instruction across all content areas.
Provide small-group and individual instruction intervention and practice activities as directed by the teacher.

Assist students during independent work time by providing encouragement clarification and academic support.
Monitor student engagement and behavior while promoting a positive learning environment.
Supervise students in the classroom on the playground during lunch and during other
school activities as assigned.
Assist with classroom organization preparation of instructional materials and maintenance of learning spaces.
Support students; development of organizational study and problem-solving skills.
Help implement classroom routines and behavior expectations consistently.
Maintain accurate records and documentation as directed by the teacher or administrator.
Collaborate with school staff to support student success and well-being.
Follow all district policies procedures and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
